Lew Leppan’s Diamond Anniversary
Lew Leppan celebrated 60 years as a freemason on 9th January 2022.
At the inaugural meeting of Cape Point Lodge No. 3141 (the recent amalgamation of Rondebosch, Travellers and Camps Bay Lodges) Lew was handed a certificate commemorating his 60 years in Freemasonry by Ernest Malherbe, District Grand Master. He was also presented with a 60-year diamond lapel badge by the WM, Steve Sillifant.
Lew was initiated into King Solomon Lodge No. 887 (SC) on 9th January 1962. He lived in Ibiza, Spain for a number of years joining three Lodges there, including being a founder member of a Spanish Lodge. On his return to Cape Town, Lew joined Rondebosch Lodge No. 3141.
Lew Leppan has served in the chair in the Craft and Royal Arch, and he is active in a number of other Side Degrees.
